Megan Griffiths is a recently qualified Consultant in Sexual and Reproductive Health(SRH), currently on maternity leave prior to taking up a consultant post in Devon early next year.

She initially trained in O&G achieving Membership of the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2011. She has subsequently moved into Sexual and Reproductive Health, and has specialist interests in abortion care, ultrasound and medical education. She has completed special skills modules in Abortion care and hopes to widen access to abortion above 14 weeks gestation in her future consultant role.

Her training has exposed her to abortion provision in a range of settings both in the community and the acute hospital environment. She has completed a survey of both O&G and SRH trainees experiences with regard to training in abortion care, which is awaiting publication.
