If English is not your first language, or you do not have an internationally recognised English qualification, you will need to provide evidence of your English language ability.
Standards are set to ensure that you are able to cope with the understanding of the course as it can provide an extra added hurdle to settling in if you are unable to cope with the speed or language you are being taught in.
It is important to note however that these requirements may differ according to the course and it is vital that you are aware of this. English requirements are very often made a condition of the course so will be clearly stated in the offer.
English language requirements for all our programmes are provided under each programme entry in our undergraduate and postgraduate prospectuses.
For further details of the University approved tests please refer to the University's English language entry requirements.
