Vacancies for up to 3 members of academic and support staff.
2011/2012 academic session.
Appointments are made for 3 years at a time.
The Hall Advisory Committee meets once a term for an hour in the early evening, followed by an informal buffet supper. There are other opportunities to attend dinners and events in hall throughout the year.
The deadline for appointments starting in the 2011/2012 session is 31 July 2011.
The Committee consists of the Warden, Deputy Warden and representative graduate and undergraduate residents in the hall. It promotes links between the hall and the wider university community and supports the academic, sporting, social and cultural life of the hall, acting as a forum for accountability and advice to the senior common room and junior common room committee.
Applicants should have an interest in student welfare, study and recreation outside the confines of timetabled classes and should share the vision of academic community the hall seeks to foster. Experience of engaging with students in contexts other than formal education and related administrative processes is an advantage.
If you have any questions about the role, please contact Professor Julian Rivers, Warden of Wills Hall.
