Grundy Educational Trust awards

A bursary to help with maintenance costs for Home postgraduates studying STEM subjects.

Bursaries of up to £6,000 are available.

Eligibility

You can apply if you:

have an offer to start a STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) postgraduate programme at the University of Bristol in 2025/26
have already started your postgraduate studies here in a STEM subject
can demonstrate financial need
are a Home student for fee purposes.

If you completed an undergraduate degree at another university (not University of Bristol), you can still apply for this bursary.

Apply using the application form. If you need support completing the form because of a disability, contact GET: admin@grundyeducationaltrust.org.uk.
Save a copy of your completed application form. You will need it if you get an interview.
Get a supporting statement from your faculty/school. This statement will help us during the nomination process. It may also be sent to the Grundy Educational Trust to support your application. For more information on this, read the terms and conditions.
Send your supporting statement to scholarships-bursaries@bristol.ac.uk by midday on Friday 18 April 2025.

The closing date for the application form and supporting statement is at midday on Friday 18 April 2025.

Applications will be assessed by the University's student funding office, PGR directors, and the associate Pro Vice-Chancellor.

If you are shortlisted for this award, you will be contacted by the Grundy Educational Trust by Monday 19 May 2025.

Unsuccessful applicants will not be contacted.

The online interview is expected to happen on Friday 27 June 2025.
