Grundy Educational Trust awards

UK postgraduates studying STEM subjects can apply for these awards.

Bursaries of up to £4,800 are available for a maximum of five University of Bristol students.

Eligibility

You can apply if you:

  • have an offer to start a STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) postgraduate programme at the University of Bristol in 2024/25. You can still apply if you have started your postgraduate studies here in a STEM subject
  • can demonstrate financial need
  • are a UK (home) student for fee purposes.

You don't need to have undertaken your undergraduate degree at Bristol to be eligible to apply.

How to apply

Read the terms and conditions, which includes what information you need to hand when completing the form, guidance on the supporting statement and referees required.

  1. Apply using the online form. Sign up with https://eu.jotform.com/ first.
  2. You must also provide a supporting statement from your faculty/school and send it to scholarships-bursaries@bristol.ac.uk. The faculty/school statement will aid shortlisting to determine the five final nominations, and will also be sent to the Grundy Educational Trust to support your application for an award. Further information is available in the terms and conditions.
  3. Take a copy of your full application so that you can refer to it, should you be shortlisted and invited for an interview.
  4. Your completed online application form and your faculty/school supporting statement must have been received by the University's Student Money Advice and Funding Office by midday on the closing date for the current year.

Deadline

The deadline is 30 March 2024.

Assessment process

Applications will be assessed by the University's student funding office, PGR directors, and the associate Pro Vice-Chancellor.

If you are shortlisted for this award you will be contacted by the Grundy Educational Trust. You will be invited to attend an interview with the trustees.
