Alumni Grant: Travel

Alumni Grant: Travel

You can apply to the SEC Alumni Grants Group for a grant to assist you with travel costs when presenting your research at a conference away from Bristol.

Who should apply?

All registered undergraduate and postgraduate students at the University of Bristol can apply.

What is it?

The SEC Alumni Grants group issues grants to assist students with the costs involved in travelling to conferences where they will be presenting their research.

Every student at the University is eligible to receive an Alumni Grant: Travel during their studies worth:

  • a maximum £550 during their undergraduate or intercalator course.
  • a maximum of £550 during their postgraduate course.

How do I apply?

When the Alumni Travel grant application form reopens we will post details of how to apply here.

Terms and conditions

Please read the terms and conditions before submitting an application.

When is the deadline?

As of 30 April, due to the coronovirus (COVID-19), the Alumni Travel grant is temporarily unavailable.

The grant will be made available again when conferences are back up and running and normal travel is resumed (hopefully at the start of the 2020 Autumn term).

Alumni Grants

Alumni grants, both Travel and Special Experience, are funded by donations from thousands of alumni and friends of the University to enhance the student experience.

Sports clubs, cultural societies and theatre productions have all been funded by Alumni grants in the past.
