The Nutrition and Behaviour Unit has particular strengths in the study of the effects of a range of substances on cognition and performance, and in the genetic and evolutionary basis of cognition and behaviour. Major research themes include appetite, weight control, and diet; the application of genetic and psychopharmacological techniques to the study of addictive behaviour; and the evolutionary basis of aspects of social cognition.
