Estates Office Stars at Professional Services Awards evening

6 February 2017

I was privileged to attend the Professional Services Excellence Awards
last night. I am delighted too to report that among so much excellence
on show across the whole of Professional Services and Faculty/School
staff, the Estates Office again achieved a proud result.

Sue Morgan and Kim O'DonnellSue Morgan won the award for unsung heroine, with Kim O' Donnell also
short listed. This is wonderful recognition for Sue, who was also
short listed two years ago.

The Hard and Soft FM teams, led by Paul
Smith, Jeni Cummins and David Tonkin, were awarded a special prize,
together with colleagues from other divisions, for the outstanding way
that they managed the impact of the fire at Colston St and dealt with
the aftermath.

Many members of the Estates Office were also part of the short listed
Beacon House project team.

On top of this, there were many more nominations for Estates
colleagues on the long list of contenders.

These awards are particularly special as they are a reflection of the
feedback from colleagues from across the University who recognise
excellent service and support. We should all be very proud of what has
been achieved here and note how well Estates have done for the second
Awards Evening in succession.

Please join with me in congratulating all those that were nominated
this year and in particular our winners. They are all richly deserving.
