We organise events and opportunities for you to connect and collaborate with other researchers, as well as showcase your work to your peers and the wider world.

  • PGR networks and clubs
    The BDC facilitates a number of different interest and identity groups and clubs specifically for PGRs, which provide a chance for you to meet other researchers outside of your faculty or school.
  • PGR Hub
    Connect with your Bristol PGR community in a space dedicated to researcher development, wellbeing and event, on level 2 in Senate House.
  • Information for new postgraduate research students
    Find out how to get started with you research degree and key things to do in your first few weeks and months.
  • Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition
    An 80,000-word thesis would take 9 hours to present. Your time limit: 3 minutes. Find out about how to enter our annual Three-Minute Thesis Competition.
  • Be More Empowered for Success PGR Programme
    This programme plays a key role in influencing positive change for home Black, Asian and minority ethnic postgraduate researchers (PGRs).
