Disabled parking

Access to car parking can support you to attend the University. With limited parking spaces available, we have a parking policy which helps us to manage and allocate parking spaces.

Parking for disabled students

You can apply for a disabled parking space and permit. You will be given you your own parking bay.

Visitors who need a disabled parking space

Visiting the main university campus

If you are visiting a member of staff, contact the person you are visiting and ask them to organise this for you.

Blue Badge holders

Blue Badge holders cannot use disabled bays in University car parks as these are already allocated. Blue Badge holders can:

  • park on any single or double yellow lines for up to 3 hours, or
  • use any ‘pay and display’ parking for free all day, when displaying their badge.

Visiting a residence

You can park in the disabled parking spaces using your Blue Badge. You do not need an extra visitor permit. Find out more about visitor parking at our residences.

Visiting Disability Services

We have two disabled parking spaces available for visitors with mobility difficulties. To reserve one for your visit, contact us. There is no fee for this service.

Questions about parking?

If you need more information about parking, contact Security Services (car parking).

Travel by bus
