Providing accessible information

The University has a responsibility to ensure that information is accessible to all users of its services. Disability Services has developed the following guidelines to assist departmental staff with providing accessible information for their students:

The University is also working to establish web accessibility standards for all its web-based information, services and learning resources. To find out more about web accessibility, visit the Web Accessibility Group (WAG) website.

Making courses accessible

Disability Services, in conjunction with the Education Support Unit and the Departmental Disability Representatives, has been working with other University departments to help ensure that they and their courses are accessible to disabled students. We encourage staff to review the Education Support Unit's resources on accessible curricula and supporting disabled students or to contact us for further information or guidance on this issue.
