QMP Upgrade 2014
The Questionmark upgrade has been successfully completed.
There are no major changes to the Authoring Manager and Enterprise Manager interface in the latest version of Questionmark but there are new features and improvements as regards to the assessment design, reporting and feedback options for students.
New features
- Avoid previously delivered questions, this is an extra option for randomising questions in the assessment design. It allows instructors to avoid showing questions that may have already been seen in an earlier attempt.
- Observational Assessment functionality, this enable staff to set up assessments to rate students or sign them off as capable of undertaking a particular procedure or set of tasks, e.g. health and safety procedures or a clinical examination.
- Questionmark analytics provides a brand-new set of reports that staff can use to generate specific data on assessments and questions. These are in addition to the reports already available in Enterprise Reporter. Below are some of the most useful reports in analytics
- A new customisable item analysis report to generate item difficulty, discrimination and correlation.
- Assessment completion time report to generate an analysis of how much time it took each student to finish the assessment
- Assessment over time result generate information on the results for an assessment over a period of time specified by the member of staff (administrator or academic)
- Assessment review report gives students the opportunity to go back to submitted tests, review their answers and then comment either on individual questions or on the whole test.
- Result export generates results in a format suitable to be used in a spreadsheet or statistics packages.
- New features in the assessment layout
- Print button to allow students to print assessment feedback .
- Highlight and strike-through, this enables students to highlights specific words in the question wording and cross out incorrect answers. This feature needs to be enabled in the template and it will be available on request.
- Job task analysis question type available on Questionmark live. See an example of a JTA survey, this is amore sophisticated matrix question with configurable fields for tasks, dimensions and ratings.
