BRITE overview
The BRITE (BRIsTol Environmental) Futures Institute is a multi-disciplinary research hub dedicated to environmental systems and technologies. It encompasses a range of research activities linked to sustainable development, meeting the needs of today’s society whilst preserving the environment for future generations. BRITE acts as a vehicle for facilitating collaborative research and teaching between University departments, industry, charities, government and other academic institutions. Public engagement and entrepreneurial activity are also strongly promoted, through activities that communicate the positive impact of academic research on society. Although the research conducted within BRITE is interdisciplinary, activities can be grouped under 6 overarching themes:
