- Jo MurrellJo is a veterinary surgeon who specialises in anaesthesia and pain management. She divides her time at work between clinical work (anaesthetising cats and dogs for surgery), teaching undergraduate veterinary students and veterinary nursing students, and research. Jo has a long track record in carrying out clinical research relating to pain management in cats and dogs and is passionate about promoting best practice in analgesia provision for companion animals.
- John TarltonJohn is a Reader in Regenerative Medicine His overall research theme is in the physiology, pathology, regeneration and repair of musculoskeletal and connective tissues. This includes research in: Regenerative medicine, tissue engineering and stem cell biology, biomechanics, bone and joint disease, tissue repair and Animal health and welfare John's research has attracted major research funding from BBSRC, DEFRA, Arthritis Research UK, NERC, and Action Medical Research, totalling over £6million over the last ten years
- James HuntJames is a Veterinary Surgeon who now devotes his time to researching pain management in dogs and cats. James qualified as a vet in 1998, and worked in general veterinary practice whilst undertaking further exams in anaesthesia and pain management. In 2011 he undertook a masters degree at Bristol University, and has written several articles on pain management in dogs and cats.
- Megan GoffMegan is the Research Technician on the Bristol Dog Arthritis Study working alongside James Hunt and helping with the day to day running of the project. Megan graduated with an equine degree in 2012 and went on to spend a year in America assisting with exercise physiology and nutritional research in Thoroughbred horses. Megan's interest in research has led to her Bristol where she hopes to complete a Masters degree and develop her understanding of chronic pain in dogs.
