The academic session is spent at a University outside the European Union, studying a range of law units according to a jointly approved programme.
By the end of the unit, a successful student will have studied law at a non-European university, undertaking units not taken at the University of Bristol.
On this basis, students should:
(i) have improved their fluency in the language of the country when studying in a foreign language;
(ii) be able to explain in the key principles of the legal system of the country in question; and
(iii) have gained a grounding in new areas of law.
Organised by the university in question.
Assessments may consist of written or oral examinations.
Students studying in non-common law systems are recommended an introductory text in English on the law of the country in question.
