This unit will broadly cover the history, work and development of Botanic Gardens. The unit will look at the work of Botanic Gardens world-wide and emphasis will be given to how modern Botanic Gardens operate and develop. The unit will look at the role of Botanic Gardens Conservation International, the Botanic Gardens Education Network and PlantNet as networking organisations facilitating the work of Botanic gardens.
