The academic session is spent in a European Union country studying the laws of that country.
By the end of the unit, a successful student will have studied law at a European university, undertaking units not taken at the University of Bristol.
On this basis, students should:
(i) have improved their fluency in the language of the country when studying in a foreign language;
(ii) be able to explain in the key principles of the legal system of the country in question; and
(iii) have gained a grounding in new areas of law.

Assessment equivalent to 100 Bristol credits. Assessments may consist of written or oral examinations.
Students are recommended an introductory text in English on the law of the country in question.
