For information on the admissions requirements for this programme please see details in the postgraduate prospectus at http://www.bristol.ac.uk/prospectus/postgraduate/ or contact the relevant academic department.
This masters programme was the first within the University of Bristol to teach students at a distance. Its innovative blended-learning approach combines intensive bi-annual synchronous teaching workshops (lectures, research seminars, group discussions) with internet-based distance learning using on-line asynchronous resources (e.g. tutorials, lectures and assessments).
As a part of your MSc you will be required to attend all synchronous teaching sessions. Please be aware that this is a compulsory part of the programme.
Students would normally be required to spend a minimum of 8 weeks per year in Bristol to attend workshops in Autumn and Spring. The first autumn workshop is not being hosted at Bristol and is to be delivered online in September 2020. The programme will inform students with notice if they are required to attend teaching at Bristol in Spring 2021, giving students time to organise visas, travel and accommodation in Bristol. Students should therefore budget for travel to Bristol and extra costs to cover accommodation and cost of living for the second teaching workshop scheduled in March 2021.
Please refer to on-line prospectus http://www.bristol.ac.uk/study/postgraduate/2016/health-sciences/msc-reproduction-development/ or contact the Programme Director.
