Getting paid
If you are a UK worker, your manager will submit your hours on your behalf within MyERP. You do not need to submit your own hours.
If you are on a Student visa (formerly Tier 4), you must complete the timesheet app every week for each assignment you are working on. The app will monitor hours worked across all assignments to ensure that the total weekly hours submitted do not exceed the legal maximum of 20 hours per week.
When will I be paid?
Managers will submit monthly timesheets by the last working day of the month to enable workers to be paid in arrears on 26th of the following month.
Am I entitled to sick pay?
You may be eligible for Statutory Sick Pay (SSP), but you will have no entitlement under any University sickness pay scheme.
Effective from 06/04/2026
If you are unable to attend for work due to illness or other incapacity, you must notify your Manager by telephone as soon as possible (normally by 10.00am) on your first working day of absence. You must state the reason for your absence and the date on which you expect to return and/or agree when you will next be in contact with further information.
For sickness absence of up to seven calendar days, you must complete a self-certification form which is available from the TSS CAG Team. For absence of more than a week you must obtain a certificate from an eligible healthcare professional (a "Statement of Fitness for Work") stating that you are not fit for work and the reason(s) why. This should be forwarded to your line manager copying the TSS CAG team as soon as possible. If your absence continues, further medical certificates must be provided to cover the whole period of absence.
