Application process and supporting documents required

- Two references from referees familiar with the applicant’s academic work.
- Personal Statement
- Verified degree transcripts and certification (transcripts must detail subjects taken and grades achieved).
- Language testing certification (If applicable)

Selection process
Applications are processed only once all documents have been submitted. Once the application is complete, the admissions tutors will consider academic performance, English language ability, the two academic referee statements, the personal statement and any other relevant experience indicated. The key criteria are academic performance, English language ability and academic referee statements.
The personal statement is also significant; it should set out what it is about the content of the degree programme that connects to the applicant's own interests, and it may include an account of the applicant's own intellectual journey and how this has forged their interest in and passion for the subject.
Interviews do not normally form part of the selection process.
All applications are considered in accordance with the University’s equality and diversity and policy. The School upholds the principles of equality and diversity, respect and dignity. Candidates are not discriminated against on the grounds of race, ethnicity, nationality, gender, sexuality, religion or belief, disability, health or age.
Offers
We aim to process complete applications and to make offers within 21 days of receipt of all supporting documents required.
An unconditional offer will be made where applicants have already met the conditions and provided evidence that conditions have been met. Where academic requirements have not yet been met, a conditional offer for the applicant to meet those requirements will be made. The deadline for this is 01 August prior to the commencement of the course.
Deferred entry is considered.
International self-funding students are required to pay a £1,000 deposit. Further information will be provided in your offer document, and payment can be made online on the programme deposits payments website.
