Entry requirements
Qualifications
An upper second class degree (or international equivalent) in Computer Science or a related discipline. Applicants with a Mathematics or Statistics background may also be considered. Reasonable knowledge of programming is a prerequisite.

English language requirements
For applicants whose first language is not English, it is necessary to achieve a minimum score in an approved English language test specified in 'Profile E' of the University's English Language Requirements Policy.
Application process and supporting documents required
To apply for this programme please complete the online application form and ensure you also provide:
- A copy of your most recent transcript
- A copy of your degree certificate (if available)
- Personal statement
- Two academic references as a minimum (plus any references from engineering companies including industrial placement). If you upload a reference with your application form, it should always be on official headed paper and signed by the person who has written the reference.
- English language certificate, if your first language is not English

Selection process
Applications are considered by the Programme Director, PGT Admissions Tutor, and Head of the Graduate Education Team.
Selection criteria include: Academic achievement (60%) and academic references (40%). Where industrial experience needs to be considered: academic achievement (60%) academic references (20%) and industrial experience (20%).
Applicants are not normally expected to attend an interview.

Offers
The applicant will receive a decision within 21 days of submitting a complete application. If an offer is made the applicant has 40 days to indicate that they wish to accept or decline the offer, after which time the offer will expire.
International self-funding students are required to pay a £1,000 deposit. Further information will be provided in your offer document, and payment can be made online on the programme deposits payment website.
