I chose to study Philosophy at Bristol University because I found great supervisors here for my research interests.
The department has an excellent reputation for research and all the staff have been really accommodating and helpful. There are always interesting talks, seminars, and workshops going on in the department.
The fact that my campus is set in the heart of Bristol, a vibrant place for young people, is a bonus!
Bristol is one of the most diverse cities in the UK, with an awesome music scene, lots of cool street art, and some great eateries and shops. As the biggest city in the South West of England, there is something for everyone here.
In previous years, I have lived in central postgraduate student accommodation which was great for meeting lots of like-minded individuals in a quieter environment. I now live in private accommodation within walking distance of the university and close to local amenities – both experiences have been very positive.
I am also part of the university’s Circus Society – there are loads of societies at the Bristol SU to match your hobbies!
In my free time, I also like to take photos and to travel and explore new places.
