MA Black Humanities scholarship for teachers
Black teachers in the UK can apply for a scholarship to cover fees on this MA programme.
There are two scholarships covering fees for the whole programme. Fees are currently £9,600 (full-time over a year) or £4,800 (part-time over two years).
These awards are funded by donations from University of Bristol alumni and friends.
Eligibility
You can apply if you:
- have one of the following categories of ethnicity:
- Black African
- Black Caribbean
- Black Other
- Mixed – White and Black Caribbean
- Mixed – White and Black African
- Other mixed background (to include Black African, Black Caribbean or Black Other)
- have qualified teacher status (or equivalent qualifications/experience)
- are currently employed in a UK school
- have applied (by 16 March 2022) for a place on the MA Black Humanities programme in 2022/23
- are a resident in the United Kingdom
- are a home/UK student.

Assessment process
Prospective students will be notified of the outcome of their application on 28 April 2022.
