Alumni Grant: Student Experience

Funded by the University of Bristol's alumni, this grant supports a wide range of extra-curricular activities at the University including sports, culture and media.

We consider applications from students, schools, departments and staff that help enhance student university life, assisting with activities and projects that would not otherwise be possible.

Eligibility

Applications are invited from students, schools, departments and members of staff at the University.

Read the terms and conditions to find out whether your project is suitable for funding and what conditions need to be fulfilled after receiving an award.

Please ensure that you have read the terms and conditions carefully before applying.

You will need to also complete the Alumni Student Experience grant financial information form (Office document, 118kB) and attach it to the online form. 

For funding to assist with venue hire, you should explain why you have chosen a particular venue. Applicants are reminded that Bristol SU has a wide variety of rooms available for hire.

If the activity will be repeated in future, please show how it will become self-sustaining.

Student Union affiliates (bristolsu-development@bristol.ac.uk) may be able to assist with making an application.

Funding requests which are over £2,000 would need to be discussed with the Money Advice and Funding office by emailing scholarship-bursaries@bristol.ac.uk.

Deadline

Applications are now open until Thursday 20 April 2023.

Assessment process

The SEC Alumni Grants Group usually meets two weeks after the application deadline has passed and applicants are notified soon after that.

The group includes academic staff, representatives from Bristol's alumni association, and representatives from the University Students' Union.
