Supporting students from lower socioeconomic groups
We offer academic, financial and social support for students from lower socioeconomic groups.
On this page:
Students from a lower socioeconomic group
You may self-identify as coming from a lower socioeconomic group because you:
- live in an Indices of Multiple Deprivation (IMD) quintile 1 area
- have been eligible for free school meals
- are eligible for the University of Bristol Bursary.
This is not a complete list.
Our Explore community
Our Explore community can help you make the most of the support available. It runs events and activities for students from lower socioeconomic groups throughout the year, so you can:
- meet other students and share experiences
- understand what support is available
- settle in and make the most out of your time here.
If you have any questions about Explore, email explore-uob@bristol.ac.uk.
