Bristol Clear programme for Research Staff

This includes supporting Early Career Researchers, and contributing to the continuous enhancement and improvement of the research environment.
-
Research in practice
Research in practice is an integrated development programme which will practically support teams in the way that they do research. It offers a combination of focused information sessions and more in-depth development workshops and is aimed at all staff working on a research project, including academic staff currently holding, or planning to apply for research funding.

Academic Career Development Programme (ACDP)
The Programme aims to create an academic career path at the University of Bristol that is challenging, rewarding and inclusive, and which enables all academic staff to have the opportunity to reach their full potential. It is governed by a Programme Board, including representatives from all levels and across the University, and encompasses three core priority areas: Learning and Development, Behaviours and Practices, and Reward and Recognition.
-
Academic Writing Programme
A free programme that combines regular training with a practical commitment to practise structured writing time and develop writing habits. The programme runs yearly over the course of 3 months and is open to all academics who are establishing themselves as academic writers.
-
Mentoring
We offer mentoring schemes as an integral element of many of our development programmes, including Bristol Clear, and our flagship leadership programmes. The Bristol Women’s Mentoring Network was launched in February 2019 as part of the University's commitment to eradicate the gender pay gap and to create gender equality in our workplace.
