Cross-sectional study of 1200 Year 9 students in schools across Bristol, South Gloucestershire, North Somerset and BANES.
Objective measures of how active children are in relation to where they go.
Subjective measures of physical, social and personal environmental determinants of physical activity and use of environment.
Examine physical activity and other lifestyle behaviours in relation to obesity and pubertal status.
Examine physical activity and lifestyle behaviours in relation to urban/rural demographic of local area.
Examine stress levels on a weekday in relation to time spent outside.
Design: PEACH
Longitudinal study starting in the last year of primary and repeating measures in the first year of secondary school, with a final follow up towards the end of secondary education (year 10/11)
