Advisory panel
During the course of the project, we will be seeking advice and guidance from a range of people with relevant experience and knowledge.
An Advisory Panel, chaired by Help the Aged, will be set up. It will comprise representatives from older people’s groups, health and social care practitioners, and other researchers. Its responsibilities will include:
- Feeding ideas on the research approach to the research team
- Providing guidance and advice on specific issues related to policy and practice that emerge during the course of the research
- Commenting on interim reports on the progress of the research
- Offering ideas about effective and productive means of disseminating the results of the research and guidance on how to frame the research results for both policy and practice purposes.
The panel will meet at key stages during the project to address any issues that might benefit from the panel’s broad and diverse experience.
At other times, we will contact members of the panel for advice and information if required, and give panel members regular updates on the progress of the research.
Advice will also be sought from other researchers in the New Dynamics of Ageing Programme.
