Participant feedback

“The 10 mile run was so nice. Met some lovely people and overall a lovely day and everyone was so friendly. Would love to do it again and the medal definitely made it so worth it (main reason for signing up). Cakes were also so nice to have at the end and for free was such a lovely extra thing. Have recommended to others as well!! Would be amazing to have more runs like this within the uni not even part of Bristol run series.” - Student participant of the 2024/25 Series

“The Bristol Run Series has been one of the best things about my time at University of Bristol, and I will be sad when/if I'm no longer involved with the city or being on campus” - Student participant of the 2024/25 Series

“As someone part of the Bristol community, it was nice to see Bristol University have an event for those not just as students, but also for the wider public. I stumbled across this accidentally, and two of my friends (who work at Bristol University) confirmed that this is an ongoing event. I was intrigued and signed up...I loved the Parkrun shoutouts for the Run Series at Ashton Court. Very glad I did it and hope you continue the event for many years to come!” - Community participant of the 2024/25 Series

“This is my second run series and I've loved it even more this year. The runs are nicely paced out to keep you active and training throughout the series. Big thanks to all the pace runners who have kept me going and supported me all the way on every run! Looking forward to starting the next series” - Staff participant of the 2024/25 Series

Healthy Minds

We're proud to support and promote the Healthy Minds programme, that supports students who face mental health difficulties.

The programme takes positive steps to improve the way students feel through a varied and socially engaging programme of physical activity. Students are referred by either the Student Counselling Service or the Mental Health Advisory Service, where they then work with an activity mentor to develop new skills, interests, and to find ways to help them feel better and stay well into the future.

The programme is free for students thanks to the generosity of Bristol’s donor community. We've now supported over 500 students in improving their wellbeing, with a 100% improvement rate.
