    Translation scholarship recipients look forward to forging industry links

    The MA Translation has awarded two scholarships this year to support students with a clear vision of the language industry and the way a Master’s degree can further their professional ambitions. Jess Smith and Florian Burnat joined the programme in September 2024 and have hit the ground running.

    Dryden double-longlisting for MAT graduate Jennifer Busch

    Jennifer Busch, who graduated with Distinction from the MA Translation in 2022, has found herself on the longlist of this year’s John Dryden Translation Competition – twice. Both of her entries were co-translations, and the texts themselves were very varied in nature. We talked to Jen about her work and the influence of studying at Bristol on her success.

    “Hugely promising”: CIOL renews MA Translation validation

    Bristol’s online Masters in Translation programme remains the world’s only graduate programme in its discipline formally validated by the Chartered Institute of Linguists (CIOL), setting it apart from a crowded field of strong competitors.
