Research Culture Committee Subgroups
These are streamlined groups set up on an occasional basis to deliver defined pieces of work.
Current Task & Finish groups include:
- Approach to Internal Funding Calls Task and Finish Group (2024/25)
Oversees the delivery and implementation of our open research policies and related activities.
Provides strategic oversight to the Research Culture Committee and oversees the ongoing review and delivery of our Research Culture strategic plan.
Leads development and delivery of the University’s CoARA Action Plan and embeds responsible research assessment principles across institutional processes.
Advocates for research staff and their development across the University.
This group receives input from the Research Staff Reps Committee and Concordat Champions Forum.
Groups that feed into the Research Staff Working Group.
Research Staff Reps Committee is a group of Research Staff from each school that have volunteered to be a Research Rep for their school with the following responsibilities:
- Serve as a liaison for research staff, aiding in communication
- Interact with research staff to gather perspectives and feedback
- Meet with other representatives from other schools within the University to share issues being experienced and best practice
- Stay updated on university-related developments that may impact researchers
- Attend School management and research committees
Concordat Champions Forum is a group of Concordat Champions from each school that work together to ensure the University of Bristol’s commitments under the Researcher Development Concordat are translated into meaningful action. It represents and channels research staff perspectives, informing University decision-making, policy development, and institutional processes.
