Openness and transparency
We aim to foster openness and transparency across all aspects of our work to ensure integrity, inclusivity, and excellence in everything we do.
The Open Research Working Group was formed to oversee the development, implementation and annual review of the University's Open Research Policy and sub-policies.
The role of Open Research Community Manager was also created to oversee implementation of open research practices and the uptake of training based on the UKRN Open Research Programme.
We have taken several steps within our committees and groups to work towards full transparency in our processes and decisions:
- All committees and working groups now upload their agendas and minutes to our internal SharePoint.
- Some committees and groups have adopted an 'observer scheme' in which members of staff can sign up to attend a meeting as an observer.

The post helps create and maintain a community of interest in open research.
