- Professor Krishna Coimbatore BalramKrishna Coimbatore Balram's primary research interest is the development of novel nanofabricated device platforms at the intersection of RF-MEMS and integrated photonics.
- Dr Nikolas BreuckmannNikolas Breuckmann works on quantum fault-tolerance, quantum complexity theory and related topics. He is interested in problems that involve the interplay between combinatorial and geometric ideas.
- Dr Alex S ClarkAlex S. Clark is developing photonic devices to explore quantum science and create useful quantum technology. He is QET Labs Director, Chair of the IOP QQQ Group, and a Work Package Leader in three UK Quantum Technology Hubs.
- Dr Edmund HarbordEdmund Harbord's major research topics include quantum communications, quantum computation, single photon sources, solid state quantum optics and topological photonic structures
- Dr Siddarth JoshiSiddarth Joshi's major research topics include satellite-based QKD, quantum information protocols, chip scale quantum technologies, quantum networks and metrology
- Professor Anthony LaingAnthony Laing's major research topics include photonic quantum technologies, photonic quantum computing and photonic quantum simulation
- Professor Noah LindenNoah Linden is a theorist interested in non-locality and entanglement theory, the theory of quantum measurement, quantum algorithms and the foundations of quantum computing and information.
- Professor Ashley MontanaroAshley Montanaro’s work focuses on quantum algorithms, applications of quantum computers, and quantum computational complexity. He is the co-founder of the quantum software startup Phasecraft.
- Professor Ruth OultonRuth Oulton's work focuses on semiconductor quantum dots embedded in photonic devices for a range of quantum technologies. One of our main areas of interest is in spin-photon interfaces. Ruth is also the Academic Lead of QTIC (Quantum Technologies Innovation Centre).
- Professor Sandu Popescu FRSSandu Popescu works on fundamental aspects of quantum physics, quantum entanglement and non-locality.
- Professor John Rarity FRSJohn Rarity works on free space QKD, measurement device independent (MDI) QKD, tamper proof quantum key exchange, chip-scale entanglement sources, and novel quantum counterfactual communications schemes.
- Dr Giulia RubinoGiulia Rubino works on indefinite causality, quantum thermodynamics, quantum cryptography and quantum machine learning, from both theoretical and experimental perspectives, with an experimental focus on integrated photonics.
- Dr Tony ShortTony Short is a theoretical physicist focusing on foundational aspects of quantum physics, with particular interests in quantum thermodynamics and equilibration, particle physics in discrete space-time and the many-worlds interpretation.
- Professor Paul SkrzypczykPaul Skrzypczyk is a theoretical physicist with broad interests at the intersection of quantum information theory and quantum foundations. Particular interests of his are quantum nonlocality, quantum measurements and quantum thermodynamics.
- Dr Carrie WeidnerCarrie Weidner is an experimental applied atomic physicist. Her research focuses on the control of hot, cold, and ultracold atom systems.
