Our voices matter
At the University of Bristol we take the opportunity to gather staff feedback on a variety of issues. Our surveys are designed in collaboration with colleagues, to gain a greater understanding of how we feel about working here - an opportunity for us to give open and honest feedback. Our responses help steer future plans and initiatives to make the University a better place to work for all. We encourage as many staff as possible to complete our surveys, as we feel that this is an important part of life at the University. The more people who complete it, the greater the voice...and our voices matter.
A message from the Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Provost
I would like to thank you all for your feedback, comments and suggestions. The collegiality that is such a crucial characteristic of our university needs to be fostered and sustained if we are to realise our institutional ambitions and be true to our organisational values. This is particularly so as the external environment becomes ever more volatile and challenging. Supporting our highly motivated workforce and fostering a supportive working environment has never been more important. I am encouraged by the collective will to address the challenges identified in the Staff Surveys. There is still more to do, and I hope you will join me in continuing to approach these challenges together with the motivation and mutual respect which typify our community.
Professor Judith Squires
Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Provost
