The evaluation of ethics consultation has been acknowledged as an important step towards further development of clinical ethics services. Based on my research associated with the Cochrane Review on outcomes of ethics consultation, I will present normative and empirical challenges associated with evaluating ethics consultation and discuss possible strategies to move forward.
