The Bristol Review and Appraisal of Research (BARR) group is led by Prof Julian Higgins. It includes systematic reviewers and research synthesis methodologists across several units connected to the department of Population Health Sciences. These include the Centre for Public Health, the NIHR CLAHRC West, the NIHR Health Protection Research Unit in Evaluation of Interventions, the CRUK Integrative Cancer Epidemiology Programme and the MRC Integrative Epidemiology Unit at the University of Bristol.
