Strategic Planning
The Strategic Planning and Business Intelligence team supports the Vice-Chancellor, Registrar and senior management of the University in a number of ways with regard to strategic planning; with responsibility for the following processes:
- development of the University Vision and Strategy
- strategic performance indicators
- Integrated Planning Process (IPP)
- student number planning (in liaison with the Education & Student Success division)
- risk management
- student survey strategy (in liaison with the Education & Student Success division)
- horizon scanning
- liaison with OfS

Business Intelligence
The Planning Office is one of a number of teams within the University that has a role to play in terms of providing management information to the University community. It coordinates the collation and reporting of the University's strategic performance indicators, it provides analysis of the University's performance in league tables and is the main point of contact for accessing benchmarking data from the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA) via its online management information system - heidi.
