Research interests
My main research interests cover the fields of International Relations and European Studies. I am primarily interested in applying the theoretical approaches of realism and rational institutionalism to study foreign policy-making in Central and Eastern Europe. In my PhD, I examined the impact of the European Union on the processes of bilateral compromise-building in the context of Poland and Germany's discrepant geopolitical interests. In my postdoctoral research, I focus more on how the consensus-oriented European foreign policy-making has been challenged by external security crises, such as the ones in Ukraine and Belarus.
