Biography
I am interested in how people make decisions, in groups and organizations, to address wicked problems, for example, equitable urban development and sustainability transitions.
I joined the University of Bristol in 2018 having previously been Senior Lecturer in Project Management at the University of Portsmouth. Prior to my life as an academic, I gained industry experience in Risk and Value Management of railway engineering projects and completed a Knowledge Transfer Partnership that focused on export market development with the University of Leeds and a medical device manufacturer based in the UK.
I welcome inquiries for postgraduate supervision in areas that align with my research interests.
Research interests
Kat's research area is behavioural operational research. Her research interests are smart and sustainable urban transitions, participatory methods and theories of practice.
