Biography
Jonatan Södergren is a scholar of branding whose research examines the aesthetic dimensions of marketing practice. His work explores how market meanings and forms are transformed and contested, using qualitative approaches to study how brands intersect with broader social and cultural change.
He is co-editor of the forthcoming Advertising Aesthetics (Bristol University Press), together with Ileyha Dagalp and Jonathan Schroeder, and holds a PhD in Business Administration from Stockholm University, where his research focused on brand authenticity.
Before entering academia, Södergren worked in public relations in the music industry.

Research interests
Jonatan Södergren (PhD) studies brands from cultural perspectives, often drawing on qualitative methods. He is co-editing the forthcoming book Advertising Aesthetics (Bristol University Press), together with Ileyha Dagalp and Jonathan Schroeder. His research projects explore three overarching themes:
