Jiayao is a Senior Research Associate at the University of Bristol. She completed her bachelor’s and PhD degrees at the School of Public Health at Zhejiang University. Her research focuses on life-course risk factors related to health. Her specific interests include (1) lifestyle factors, such as physical activity and sedentary behaviour and (2) social determinants of health and related health inequities. She is interested in applying multiple methods and datasets to test the robustness of findings and to support causal inference.
