Retaining its position in the top ten best UK universities, the University has also seen 22 courses ranking in the UK top 10, and 41 courses ranking in the UK top 20.
Criminology, ranked separately for the first time this year, has jumped straight into the top spot, rated first in the country.
Other courses which have secured high-ranking spots include Aerospace Engineering and Social Policy which both placed third.
Notable improvements have been seen in several courses this year including English which has moved up 14 places to 29th, and Chemistry, which has risen 5 places and broken into the top ten by placing 7th.
The recognition comes during a landmark period for the University, following last week’s opening of the Temple Quarter Enterprise Campus in Bristol and the University of Bristol Mumbai Enterprise Campus and as preparations continue to mark 150 years since the founding of University College Bristol, next month.
The guide highlighted the University's innovative approach to teaching, noting that “as universities nationwide report declining lecture attendance, Bristol is doubling down on in-person provision with the UK's first lecture theatre 'in the round'” at the new Temple Quarter Enterprise Campus.
It has also recognised the University's commitment to improving access to higher education, highlighting Bristol's pioneering use of contextual offers and its gateway programmes in medicine, dentistry and veterinary science, which support students from underrepresented groups.
The guide points to Bristol’s strong collaborative relationships, including global links with more than 150 institutions, including the University of Copenhagen, the National University of Singapore and the University of California, which enable students to undertake study-abroad semesters, exchange years and funded summer programmes. It also features how, environmentally, Bristol climbed to joint 23rd in the People & Planet league (third among Russell Group peers).
