Professor Kelvyn Jones is to receive a prestigious award from the Royal Geographical Society.
Kelvyn Jones,
Professor of Human Quantitative Geography, is to receive the prestigious
Murchison Award from the Royal Geographical Society (RGS). The award is given for Professor Jones' contributions to quantitative geography.
The award will be presented at the RGS' Annual General Meeting on 3 June. At the same meeting, Bristol graduate and former staff member Professor Paul Longley will receive the Society's Victoria Medal for research in geographical information science.
