The £1.2-million Fellowship will support research into the modelling, analysis and forecasting of non-stationary time series and multi-scale models in statistics.

The research will mainly be theoretical but look at applications in epidemiology, energy and economics, building new links with Shell Global Solutions UK and the Bank of England.

Professor Nason’s Fellowship started 1 April 2013 and will be for an initial five-year period.
