Francesca Scott, a first-year History student, has won a competition run by the legal firm Linklaters.

Candidates had to submit a question for members of a ‘commercial awareness’ panel at a discussion event in London. Francesca, who is considering a Law conversion course after graduating, submitted the winning question, which was: 'If commercial awareness is not only about business knowledge, but about being able to contextualise advice to clients in the light of the needs of their business, as a lawyer how do you develop the necessary perspective?'.

Her prize is a five-day trip to Hong Kong, where she will visit the Linklaters office there.
