Vote for RELAYS

27 April 2012

RELAYS, a collaboration involving the University of Bristol, has been shortlisted as one of six Olympic-inspired projects for the Podium 'Coubertin's Olympic Vision' Award 2012.

RELAYS (Regional Educational Legacy in Arts and Youth Sport) is an innovative project delivered through universities and cultural organisations in the south west of England. It aims to inspire young people and their communities to participate in, create and promote cultural and sporting activities, engaging the region with the London 2012 Games and creating a lasting legacy beyond 2012.

Since RELAYS began in 2008, 1,327 events have been run, involving 79,522 young people; 371,187 members of the public have attended events; 1,825 businesses have been supported; and 6,570 volunteering opportunities have been provided.

RELAYS needs your vote to win the award and a chance to showcase its unique collaboration to a national audience at the Podium Awards on 2 May.
