Anna Robinson said: ‘The game was challenging and very close, with the final score 19-15 to the women. I would like to thank the players, the umpire Sarah Everett-Cox, and all those who came to support us for making it such a successful event.’
All the money raised from the event will be sent to Sport Relief, which helps transform the lives of poor and vulnerable people around the world.
The men's team comprised Duncan Mehers (Captain), Nick Pollitt, Nik Kosy, Craig Edbrooke, James Veale, Jon Jerrome, Giles Jordan, Rob Light-Hook and Martin Kay from the Finance Office and Derek Sheader from Research and Enterprise Development.
The women's team comprised Anna Robinson (Captain) from the Finance Office, Audrey Michael from the Department of Physics, Clare Stephen from the Dental Postgraduate Unit, Connie Gallion from the Engineering Faculty Office, Pippa Griew from the Department of Exercise, Nutrition and Health, Isobel Howe from Research and Enterprise Development, Sophie Pollard from the Graduate School of Education, Caroline Clancy from the Public Relations Office, Harriet Mills from the Department of Engineering Maths and Anna Rutherford.
