Dr Peter Blair, Senior Research Fellow in the Department of Community-Based Medicine, has been awarded an Honorary Fellowship by UNICEF UK.

Dr Peter Blair, Senior Research Fellow in the Department of Community-Based Medicine, has been awarded an Honorary Fellowship by UNICEF UK.

These Honorary Fellowships recognise outstanding contributions from long-term supporters of UNICEF in the fields of advocacy, communications and fundraising. Dr Blair is one of three candidates to be awarded an Honorary Fellowship this year by the organisation’s outgoing president, Lord David Puttnam.

Dr Blair has been advising UNICEF on its Baby Friendly Initiative campaign, with regard to infant care practices stemming from his work relating to risk reduction messages associated with Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.
