The Tilden Prize was founded in 1939 to commemorate Sir William Augustus Tilden, President of the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) from 1903 to 1905. This is one the RSC’s senior awards for ‘mid-career’ scientists and Professor Orr-Ewing will present his lecture at a range of host institutions next year.
