£10,000 Festival of Ideas book prize

Entries are invited for a new £10,000 Bristol Festival of Ideas book prize in association with Arts & Business and Blackwell bookshops.

The Bristol Festival of Ideas Book Prize is to be awarded to the book that best presents new, important and challenging ideas, is rigorously argued, and is engaging and accessible. The winner of the new annual prize will be announced in March each year and will collect their prize of £10,000 at the Bristol Festival of Ideas in May. The first award will be made in 2009. The 2008 Bristol Festival of Ideas, an initiative of Bristol Cultural Development Partnership, is running throughout this month, with special events planned through the year. For full details of this year’s programme, please visit the website.
